The supplication Yā ‘Aliyyu Yā ‘Aẓīmu of the Holy Month of Ramaḍān serves as both a reminder as well as a means towards elevation. Reciting it after every prayer in this Holy Month reminds the human being about his true destination, and enables him to soar higher. We must however realize that the bearers of religion have .taught us specific actions of elevation. Hence, as we supplicate to Allah with this beautiful prayer, we must actively engage in those actions that religion introduces as the means of perfection.
