So how can I post images?

Images can be shown in your posts.

You must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.example.com/my-picture.gif.

You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor images stored behind authentication mechanisms, e.g. hotmail or yahoo mailboxes, password protected sites, etc.
To display your own pictures which are not already on the internet, you will need to upload them to a free server like http://www.photobucket.com

To display the image use the BBCode

So, if you are on a site and see an image that you would like to post on Ask

or

You want to post an article with an image

You need to copy the 'image location' of the image. It will be something similar to 'http://sitename.com/image.gif' (an image will always end in an image extension like .gif, .jpg, .png etc)

Once you have that copied (you can copy the location by right-clicking the image with your mouse and choosing 'copy image location'), you can paste the same between the 'Img' tag as explained above.

So say I want to post the first image that appears on http://www.jafariyanews.com/2k9_news/no ... emands.htm

Once I copy the image location, I go ahead and paste the following using 'Img' code wherever I want the image to appear:

and it will appear like below:
