“And when Musa said to his people: Call to mind Allah’s favour to you when he delivered you from Firon’s people (Aale Firaun), who subjected you to severe torment, and slew your sons and spared your women; and in this there was a great trial from your Lord” Surah Ibrahim- Ayah 6
The above Ayah is not one such, there are several others which are spread across the Holy Quran, in these signs of the System of Pharaoh have been specified, and how Allah(s), through his divinely appointed Leader relieved the Bani Israel from this system
The three signs are mentioned in this Ayah for Pharaonic System. This Ayah talks about Aale Firaun, this means not one person as a Pharaoh, but a complete system, which goes on from generation to generation. The signs of this system as mentioned in this Ayah are:
1.This system takes human beings towards divine wrath and punishment.
2.In this system men are oppressed and killed and made slaves.
3.In this system, women are kept alive.
The first sign tells us that the atmosphere and environment created by this system is such that the disciples of this system will move towards degradation of their values. When nations do not react towards oppressive rulers and regimes, they eventually become part of that system and that corrupt system will leave its effect on them.
The second and third signs of this system are that men are killed, suppressed and made slaves, and their women are kept alive. The Holy Quran has used this sentence in a very respectful way. Keeping the women alive is not without any purpose, it was a matter of their chastity which was the target of the Fironic System. But when the chastity of the women is lost, it should arouse the Zeal (Ghairat) of men, but the men of Bani Israel preferred to be oppressed and be slaves of the Fironic System, when their women were loosing their chastity.
The Fironic System was not a system of one particular era; it was before Firaun and after Firaun also. In today’s world, almost the entire world is under the grip of this Firaunic system. Today it is very difficult for a believer to find a place, where his faith would be secure, where he is not directly imposed on regular basis with tools of sins and disobedience. If you take the economic aspects of life, on one side there is an oppressed class, who because of their poverty has drifted away from faith, and on the other side the well off class, who in the hands of capitalist’s powers are busy in enjoying their lives, with their and their generation’s faith at risk. When faith is not secure, it clearly means, we are not moving towards perfection, but in fact moving towards punishments. This was the first sign of Fironic system.
On the other signs, it is very much evident today, how men have become slaves of their worldly lives, how much we are serving to the cause of these Firons of our era. To make it simple, just take this last sign of this system, where women chastity is played with. Is it not the case today? The promotion of vulgarity and nudity of women is common phenomenon. Women have been made a pleasure seeking commodity in our lives. And above all this, this nudity is going on in front of us, and the men are careless. Vulgar and nude programs go on the television and entire family is watching it. Brother and Sister, Mother and Son, all sitting together and watching semi nude women dancing on the screen and demonstrating passion scenes. All this is the result of this Fironic System. As mentioned earlier, if we do not realize what system is governing us and take remedial actions, that system will for sure leave its effects on us, and it has done it.
The Holy Quran says that we have released you from this system, through Musa. A person can only come out of this system, only when he follows a true guide, a leader. It is that divine leadership which can provide salvation to us from the tyrannical regimes. At times we feel happy that America has come into Iraq and Saddam is gone. Now we can do our Azadari in Iraq, now we can kiss the shrines, no one will stop us. We are mistaken, Allah says Aale Firon, means generations of Firon. One dictator has gone another has come, and we have seen that they have done the same thing, they have killed men and played with the chastity of women, they have tormented the entire Ummah.
It is time that we realize these Quranic facts, whether we are at peace or not, if we are living a life under the Fironic system, then it is obligatory for us to take remedial actions. As Imam Khomeini (r.a) says “ Even if you present to me a non-Islamic government which is just and truthful, still I will strive for an Islamic Revolution, because the purpose of non-Islamic government is for materialistic development of society, whereas an Islamic government is aimed to take the society towards spiritual perfection” .
It is time that we need to fist realize what life we are living, that is under which umbrella. There are four pillars of the Fironic System, Firaun – the claimant of Lordship, Hamman – the Military Power, Shaddad – The Infrastructure builder and Qarun – The Capitalist . God willing we will talk about this later. But in short, most of us are under the umbrella of the Firaunic System, so we need to think and decide whether we want to become a part of the Fironic System or we want to follow the path of Musa, but first we will have to decide who the Musa of our era is.
