The day of 14th february, people call it Valentines day or a day of expressing love to our loved 1's but have we ever given a thought that, are we as shias allowed to celebrate this day.. Islam maintains that valentines day dates back to the Romans and its not found in islam at all therefore celebrating valentines day in islam has been considered as a sin and is haram but yet we see many of us celebrating this day and ignoring the fact that celebraing valentines day is unacceptable in islam, can someone please explain me..why?
