As-Salaam alaykum,
Ayat 156 of Surat Baqra of the Holy Qur'an (2:156) reads:--
"WE BELONG TO ALLAH, AND TO HIM WE SHALL RETURN."
Realize that when we say: 'We belong to Him', then we are declaring that nothing belongs to us.... nothing is deserved. Everything we have is a pure act of grace and blessing of/from Allahu, Jallah-Jalalahu. Once this fact reaches our heart, we will then be able to break free from arrogance, pride and complaint....
