THE Netherlands is likely to become the first country in Europe to ban the burka, under government proposals that would bring in some of the toughest curbs on Muslim clothing in the world.

What do you think people? I think it's absolutely ridiculous, not to mention wrong and against human rights. They're angry after the film producer Theo Van Gogh got murdered, and now they're going to take it out on all the muslims.

I feel hijab has given me the greatest protection and saved me from lust and filth alhamdulillah. The credit goes to the almighty and my family. Whatever the west may say its always the worst, harmful, attractive,and lustful. Our religion is based on spirituality an d therefore our status is greater than thiers.

Precisely. It's comforting to know that there are those who feel stronger and protected with the hijab, mashAllah. Apparently the west feels that every woman under a veil is oppressed. :?
