(salam)

The Africa Federation Tabligh Board has organized several Marriage Seminars.

There are usually different sessions for:

1. Unmarried but eligible bachelors and spinsters
2. Engaged/married couples
3. Parents/Inlaws

Reports of the previous seminars are available at:

1. http://www.world-federation.org/Regions ... _Kenya.htm

2. http://www.world-federation.org/Secreta ... Salaam.htm

3. http://www.world-federation.org/Regions ... nzania.htm

Considering the following answer from Sayyid Sistani's office in relation to the events highlighted above, do you think the ruling applies? Ideally those who attended the seminar(s) would be in a better position to judge and opine
QUESTION
Salaam Alaykum

Jazakallah for this valuable service.

Is it permissible to hold a gathering where unmarried and married as well as engaged couples sit together on same tables to discuss issues about marriage?

If the answer to the above is no, then Is it permissible if the men and women seat on separate tables but can see each other or should we have a curtain to separate them?

Topics that will be discussed will be about marital issues.

jazakallah

ANSWER
بسمه تعالى

اگر خوف وقوع در گناه باشد جايز نيست.

If it is feared that they might fall into a sin, it is not permissible.

May Allah grant you success.

I have heard some praise from people who managed to attend the last one in Dar es Salaam.

Looking at the ruling and the pictures in report I think its probably against the ruling.
