Our school recently provided tablets to each student. I'm curious about the pros and cons. Do you think it's a beneficial move, or are there potential problems?
Are students using the tablets wisely, or is there a risk of distractions? Also, how has it affected the workload of teachers?

One potential problem is abuse of the devices to access inappropriate content

During the child protection seminar sheikh Shirazi said that the tab has full controls and is just like a digital book. Students cannot access anything on it except their books. All search engines, YouTube, games, apps are blocked

Totally agree
Such young children getting free access to smart tab is totally unacceptable.
Why not keep a computer room which can be accessed with limitations and under supervision ?
Option of money making schemes wins over pleasure of the Awaited One (ajfs) in whose blessed name the school came into existence..
Its a shame !

Disagreed !
They can easily access all the above.

In this age of rapid upgrading technology, kids are way smarter then adults...they easily find ways - loopholes to overcome the barriers..
Adults thinking they have an upperhand & full control on these gadgets is a totally false notion that should be discarded the earliest the better..

(salam)
My childs tablet was taken the other day and i couldn't have been happier!

I dont understand how they are using it as learning device - the learning that was previously happening in a better way with better attention in class compared to now. Right now mostly they are either distracted using their own tablets, or by their neighbors activities on their tablet.

If they are saying they have blocked sites and applications they are fooling themselves - everything is being accessed.

The performance of the students in the December exams have shown just how distracted they have become in class -

Biggest mistake done really - hopefully they realize it before the whole schools performance goes down at the expense of our children future..

Students have been caught watching the worst videos, thanks to the School!

These are young kids, what was the school expecting? the Children to become saints and study only???
That is absurd!
