Can you advice as to what the Shia belief is as far as the issue of how many years ago did Hz Adam came to the earth?

Salamun Alaykum
There is no explicit information about this in the Holy Quran. But it is stated in historical sources that the creation of Adam (AS) dates back to about six or seven thousand years ago. Of course, this does not contradict the belief of scientists that human life is more than millions of years; That is, it is possible that thousands of generations of humans existed and became extinct before the generation of Adam. This is a point that is compatible with the Qur'an and narrations.
