Many times we receive gifts like pens and mugs with names of Allah, or Masumeen (as) and when the mugs break or pen finishes, how do we dispose them keeping in mind that we cannot put things in the sea and burying them too isn’t easy?

Respect for sacred names must be preserved and it is not permissible to throw them in places that are traditionally considered an insult, so the best way is to arrange a container or a place to keep such names and words, and after sometime it can be buried in a clean place or can be put in the sea or running water. It is also permissible to erase its writings even by using some chemicals but it is not permissible to burn them.
