According to the fatwa of Ayatullah Sistani, it will suffice if 750 grams of flour is given per fast (Roza) that was lapsed (Qaza) by the deceased father. This can be given to a poor believer (Momin). Thereafter, it will not be necessary to keep the lapsed fasts of the deceased. People Other than the eldest son can also give and it will suffice.
Does this mean obligation is lifted from Eldest son? And ijara also?

Ruling 1681. After a father’s death, the eldest son must, based on obligatory precaution, keep his father’s qaḍāʾ fasts of the month of Ramadan as per the details mentioned in Ruling 1370 concerning prayer. Instead of fasting each day, he can give 750 grams of food to a poor person even from the property of the deceased if the heirs consent to it.

Ruling 1370. If one’s father has not performed his prayers and he could have made them up, in the event that he did not fail to perform them due to outright disobedience, then based on obligatory precaution, after the father’s death his eldest son must either perform them himself or hire someone to perform them.
