Music- does Quraan states ?

That it is Haraam/not permissible?
My arguement with my fellow muslims and i need Proof to tell them that music is haraam. If it is not haraam then?

my two cents:
For those who argue about the permissibility or otherwise of Music with the argument that it is not clearly mentioned in the Holy Quran that it is Haraam, ask them if they believe praying 5 times a day is waajib. If they agree, then ask them to show where in the Holy Quran it is written that we should pray 5 times a day.
