Bahrain: How Tanzanians can help
Posted: 08 Apr 2011, 16:40
We have all received emails about the continuous atrocities and oppression ongoing in Bahrain. We have also witnessed the silence of the global media as if Bahrainis are less humans than the rest of us.
Further more we have witnessed that the 'Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' (khadimul haraamain sharifayn) - a title the 'Saudi kings' give themselves, is the foremost in sending an army of 'muslims' to massacre another population of Muslims. UAE has joined Saudi Arabia earnestly in this task.
And again, the world at large has been silent.
I am starting this thread to gather resources and information, which we Tanzanians can use to peacefully but sternly protest in whatever manner possible, depending on our resources and abilities.
The following are what is going to be covered in this thread:
1. Address of the Saudi Arabia Embassy in Dar es Salaam - so that we can send letters of protest and demand a withdrawal and trial of the military decision makers.
2. Address of the UAE Embassy in DSM for the same purpose
3. Telephone numbers and email address of the above two for the same purpose via phone calls and emails
4. Address, email and telephone of the Ministry of Foreign affairs of Tanzania - to demand that the ministry contact the Saudi and UAE ambassadors to demand and explanation and immediate withdrawal
5. Address and contacts of bodies like BAKWATA and other NGO's to demand that they look into this and demand the Minsitry of Foreign affairs to intervene
6. Contacts etc that can be used to plan a peaceful demonstration outside the Saudi embassy
Do share if you have any of the above contacts. Do also share ideas of what else can be done.
We need volunteers to draft sample letters/emails/questions & demands over the phone which can be posted here to assist all of us in writing the above.
