A friend in my dreams
written in 1998
Oh, how I wish I had a friend like you, who appears in my dreams,
A friend who is always there when I am about to scream.
A friend who is always with me on a sad day,
A friend who makes the sad day wonderful and gay.
Oh how I wish you could come alive from my dreams and stay with me till I die!
A friend who would be there for me when I cry.
A friend who would try to solve my problems with me,
A friend who would always be there for me to see.
Oh, how I wish you could be there when I am sad!
A friend who would smile and say 'cheer up lad.'
A friend so helpful in the hour of need,
A friend who would never lie because of greed.
Oh, how I wish you could always be there besides me!
A friend, not only a friend, but a parent to me.
A friend who is not only a friend but a support for me to hold on,
A friend, not only a friend, but someone I can rely on.
Oh, how I wish you could be there when I need you!
A friend who would always say things that are true.
A friend with whom my secrets are safe forever,
A friend who would never say never!
Its very hard to find wonderful words to express a friend like you,
But then, it is very hard to find a wonderful friend like you!
